window approximately 13 miles wide by 16 miles,
with Liverpool 45 miles to the South-West, Manchester 27 miles to the South
and Leeds 30 miles to the East of Colne
The former township of
Habergham Eaves, is the huge area of the modern
Burnley Borough, that lies South of the River Calder (blue line), which flows
North-West, through the current town centre, then forming part of the border
with Pendle before turning South-West towards Whalley and the River Ribble
