- Whether you live in Lancashire or elsewhere, the Lancashire Family History
and Heraldry Society can help you to research your Lancashire
ancestry. The Society is a charity and cannot undertake professional
paid research, but will (through our Branch Secretaries) give advice on
sources relevant to individual problems.
- The Society was formed in 1973 as the Rossendale Society for Genealogy
& Heraldry (Lancashire). Today there are 14 branches meeting
regularly (13 in Lancashire, including our Pendle and Burnley branch and one
in London). Membership of the Society entitles the member to attend
any of the branch meetings and make use of their resources.
- The Books and Microfiche holdings of the Pendle and Burnley Branch are
kept in the Reference Section at Colne Library and can be viewed by members
during normal library opening hours
- Please checkout the benefits
of membership for yourself by visiting the Society's main site.
